Unfortunately, mostly due to lockdown, Movember didn't really take off. However, Phil did grow a mo!! Check it out here. Moustache facemasks were purchased for re-sale, all profits to Movember. They can be bought on the Shop page of this site or in store.
2. Booking updates.
The first day of opening after lockdown will be Wednesday 2nd December. We were fully booked but we have added extra capacity.
We shall be open for 3 weeks up to Christmas Eve, including two Sundays.
We shall close for Christmas and re-open Saturday 2nd January.
3. Two's Up.
Our Two's Up offer means two people can get their hair cut together for only £25, saving £9. Not available Saturday.
4. Christmas Gifts for Him & Her
Please take a look at our new online shop. We would LOVE you to shop with us for your Christmas gifts rather than the likes of Amazon, especially as we have lost over 4 months of trade this year. Shopping local supports local jobs and the local economy and let's face it....you can't buy a shave on Amazon, can you?
We are offering FREE local delivery during lockdown, or you can collect after lockdown.
5. Win a £169 hairdryer for only £5
We are currently raffling off a limited edition, pearlescent white GHD Helios hairdryer on our Facebook page. Post your chosen number(s) below where the available numbers are listed, pay by PayPal and we'll updated the list to include you. Good luck!
6. Social Distancing.
We pride ourselves on being the safest barbershop it is possible to be. Measures we take include:
Enforced social distancing (no waiting/queuing inside) Hand sanitisation No mask, no entry Pre-entry health check Screen between workstations Disinfectant wipes used on chairs/workstations between appointments Disinfectant spray and barbicide used on tools Freshly laundered gowns Use of Track & Trace app encouraged Use of disposable cups/bottles for drinks Use of gloves when touching your face And of course we actually DO wear our masks AND visors
You are safer here than when you are out shopping, out drinking or out for a meal.
We would like to thank you for your patience as we make Philip Nicholas the safest barbershop around. We will continue to ask you to wait outside, however, if the weather is particularly bad we may invite you to wait inside, with a mask, maintaining a safe distance from others (1m+).
